Run the Race

Running gives you such a great rush. After a long run, you have strength that no one can touch. I know that running a race isn't always fun. Neither is life. You get going fine, but once you hit that first hill, your hope begins to drop. After about the fourth hill or even mountain, you consider quiting. I have had many mentors in my life. They have given me the right technique, stretches, and form to use while I run this race called life.
Now it's time to prepare. I need to hydrate myself( get into the Word). I'll have a couple practice runs, but nothing like the real thing!
So now it's time to put on my shoes and place my toe on the chalked line. When I hear that gun, I won't let it startle me. I keep my mind on the race that the lord has laid before me. And when my chest touches the finishing ribbon. I will know I'm a champion.

YEAH!!

Today has been full of GREAT news. I went to the sports medicine specialist. He told me that what was thought to be a stress fracture is really a gap between my growth plate. That mean no more walker! I'm so thankful. Last night was the CMA's! It was so much fun! AS my mom always tells me "Make a memory!". And we did! We watch some of the stars come out of their limos. They all looked great. I especially loved Taylor Swift's gown. I'll be sure to post some pictures very soon. Today was painless. I've been paying for my long hours outside before the CMA's. I have a head cold. other than that, I'm fine and dandy. I want to wish my cousin, Terry, a HAPYY BIRTHDAY! The BIG 15! I hope everyone has a WARM night!

Fall is in the Air!!

Today has been chilly and windy in Nashville. We got up and got ready for clinic. This consists of numbing cream on my port, packing a bag of stuff to do while waiting, and eating a good breakfast so I can take my meds. We arrived at VCH around eleven and went straight up to the clinic. We caught up with India and I received my chemo and a flu shot. It was pain free at the time, but now my arm feels like someone frogged me. We ran a few errands and are back home. Tomorrow, we're going to the CMA's! YES, THE COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS!! I'm so excited, I just can't even tell you!! I'll be sure to include the fun details tomorrow!!!

Fall is here and I'm so happy! Although it's cold in Franklin, I'm still very excited! The beginning of fall means that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. I love these seasons, because my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my friends and family. So the past few nights, I've been begging my dad to turn on the fire. Stay warm!!!

Bennett Davis Mann

Babies EVERYWHERE!!

Those of you who know me, know I LOVE LOVE babies! Well, I was in hog heaven today. I woke up and helped mom and Caroline make a breakfast casserole. After eating our wonderful breakfast, we were off to see baby Bennett. Bennett's parents, Kevin and Mandy, sang at a youth camp I went to. They are so amazing! I get a calm felling when I'm around beautiful Mandy. And Kevin, what a fun guy to be around! I could sit and talk to them FOREVER! After having the privalege of rocking baby Bennett to sleep, I sat and listened to mom and Caroline talk about their motherhood experiances. Mom, saying how great Will was as a baby and how painful Steve was as a baby . When I say painful, I mean for her! And of coarse how perfect I was(HAHA)! After give Bennett, Mandy, and Kevin one last goodbye, we headed out. We decided to go to Downtown Franklin for lunch. WHile walk, I saw the most ardorable pup ever! OH MY GOSH! Being the dork I am, I asked the owner if I could hold her. Her name was Mavis and she was SO CUTE! She smelled like and puppy and played like one. So those were the two babies I got to enjoy today. WE've gotten Mike and Caroline on the road safely. Looks like another Saturday filled with football.
